A personal note (non-official):
My travel led me 4 days to Khartoum, the capital city of the Republic of Sudan. It took me one day to get to Khartoum from Vienna and a day to get back - flying over Egypt. During my stay we installed the 40 WSA products on 200 computern, the largest WSA installation ever. These WSA products are now on practically all higher educational institutions of the cities and they are about to become part of the curriculum of these institutions. I held in the 4 days additionally 11 presentations and lectures to promote the national contest. All this while the temperature were between 35 and 45 degrees celsius, accompanied by sand storms. A new experience for a Central European. We had to face several power failures during that time. And additionally there is no beer in the Sudan. Though conditions. All together it was an extremely efficient and productive time, perfectly planned and organized by our national WSA representative Prof. Izzeldin Osman.
